Associated Grant Makers

Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers

As the region’s premier resource on philanthropy dedicated to informing grantmakers and improving our community, ABAG membership includes more than 135 private and community foundations, corporations, donor advised funds, giving circles and public charities, representing the vast majority of institutional giving in our area.




Colorado Association of Funders

The Colorado Association of Funders is the statewide network of private foundations, community foundations, family foundations, corporate funders, federated funds, workplace giving programs, government agencies, and more. We honor the diverse missions of our members while working toward shared goals that advance philanthropy and benefit Colorado.




Connecticut Council for Philanthropy

The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy (CCP) is an association of grantmakers committed to promoting and supporting effective philanthropy for the public good. CCP’s members are foundations (private, corporate, community), business and corporate giving programs, bank trusts, donor-advised funds, individual philanthropists, and those serving the philanthropic sector.  




Council of Michigan Foundations

The Council of Michigan Foundations is a community of philanthropists committed to improving outcomes for Michigan, and beyond. Through investing in the state’s charitable organizations, convening business, government and nonprofit leaders, collaborating on critical issues, seeking innovative solutions, sharing knowledge and advocating, we leverage our collective voice to increase the impact of Michigan philanthropy.




Council of New Jersey Grantmakers

The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers is the center for philanthropy in New Jersey, serving the leading independent, corporate, family and community foundations as well as public grantmakers of our state.  We support our members by strengthening their capacity to address New Jersey and society’s most difficult problems. We also access the resources of the philanthropic community – funding, expertise, leverage – to provide leadership on statewide issues.




Florida Philanthropic Network

Florida Philanthropic Network is a statewide membership network of philanthropic organizations working to build philanthropy to build a better Florida. FPN’s members are private independent, corporate and family foundations, community foundations, public charity grantmakers and corporate giving programs who hold over $6.5 billion in assets and invest over $435 million annually (excluding members located outside Florida) to improve the quality of life for our citizens. Our members share a commitment to promoting philanthropy, fostering collaboration and advancing public policy by Florida, in Florida.




Forefront

Forefront is the nation’s only statewide membership association for nonprofits, grantmakers, public agencies, advisors, and our allies. We provide education, advocacy, thought leadership, and facilitate collective action around issues that are important to our Members and to the sector.




Gateway Center for Giving

The Gateway Center for Giving strengthens philanthropy and promotes community impact by providing programming, research, technical assistance, networking and professional development opportunities to grantmaking organizations in the St. Louis region. We enhance regional leadership through information on community needs and philanthropic best practices, supporting collaborative action to help address our region’s most pressing issues. Our members include corporations, donor-advised funds, foundations, trusts and others actively involved in philanthropy.




Grantmakers Council of Rhode Island

Grantmakers Council of Rhode Island (GCRI) was founded in 2003, as a network to support staff in grantmaking organizations to maximize the effectiveness of their philanthropic work.  GCRI continues to offer capacity building, professional development and networking opportunities for staff in grantmaking roles, but has expanded to provide: connection to national philanthropic resources; opportunities for collaboration and cross-sector partnerships; support for employee engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives; increased visibility and a gathering place for the philanthropic sector; and outreach to engage other organizations in the work of community investment.




Grantmakers of Oregon and Southwest Washington

GRANTMAKERS of Oregon and Southwest Washington is a community of funders working to strengthen and expand philanthropy and improve the vitality and health of our communities. The organization is a resource for funders, an advocate for ethical and responsible charitable giving and a catalyst for effective philanthropy.




Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania

Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania (GWP) is a professional membership association formed in 1985 by leaders who wanted to create a place where grantmakers could learn and work together to increase their community impact. It is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization serving 26 counties in western Pennsylvania. Today there are more than 80 member organizations from Armstrong County in the north to Fayette County in the south.




Indiana Philanthropy Alliance

Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) is a nonprofit membership association of and for the state’s philanthropic grantmaking community. Our members include public and private foundations, corporate giving programs, governmental grantmakers, regranting organizations, philanthropic advisors and other qualified individuals.




Iowa Council of Foundations

As a membership based organization, the Iowa Council of Foundations serves grantmakers that provide funding support to charitable projects and programs in Iowa. As the lead philanthropic entity in Iowa, we strive to strengthen and promote philanthropy in the State, facilitate and promote effective philanthropic grantmaking, and to provide a forum for the exchange of information on programs and issues.




Maine Philanthropy Center 

Founded in 1995, the Maine Philanthropy Center is a regional association of grantmakers – small and large private foundations, community foundations, public foundations, corporate giving programs, family foundations and philanthropic individuals – who share a commitment to increasing the vitality and visibility of Maine’s philanthropy community. MPC carries out its mission through a range of programs and services.




Minnesota Council on Foundations

The Minnesota Council on Foundations expands and strengthens a vibrant community of diverse grantmakers who individually and collectively advance the common good. MCF members represent three-quarters of all grantmaking in the state, awarding more than $1 billion annually. MCF is: An advocate for giving, promoting ethical and responsible charitable giving A resource for grantmaking, creating and sharing information for and about grantmakers A catalyst for philanthropy, sparking connections, networks and knowledge for effective grantmaking




New Mexico Association of Grantmakers 

New Mexico Association of Grantmakers is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and impact of organized philanthropy in New Mexico. NMAG is a regional membership association that provides programs, research and educational resources, and networking opportunities for grantmakers throughout New Mexico. Our members include representatives from a cross-section of private foundations, public charities, governmental grantmakers, corporate philanthropists, and individuals in charitable giving across the state.




North Carolina Network of Grantmakers

The North Carolina Network of Grantmakers is the state’s only forum for sharing information and promoting cooperation among North Carolina’s grantmakers. We are committed to helping private foundations, corporate giving programs, donor advised fund holders, and community foundations strengthen their impact and effectiveness. We are your resource for networking, news, and information on philanthropy.




Northern California Grantmakers 

Northern California Grantmakers brings together foundations, nonprofit organizations, government, and business to tackle our region’s most pressing social issues. We pool resources, share information, and learn from each other, making our collective impact far greater than if we were going it alone.




NY Funders Alliance

The NY Funders Alliance is an association of grantmakers and philanthropic advisors throughout New York State. We develop and provide opportunities for funders to convene and connect, deliver tools and resources, and engage our members in programming that highlights national, state, and regional thought leaders that focus on issues members care about.




Philanthropy Delaware

Philanthropy Delaware exists to provide information, education, networking and collaboration opportunities to individuals, corporations, and foundations who make significant charitable contributions in Delaware, and to strengthen philanthropy through information and advocacy. It also works to increase the number of institutional donors supporting nonprofits in the state.




Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia

Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia is the region’s membership association for organizations and individuals active in philanthropy. Our 150+ members represent a broad spectrum of funder types, interests and approaches that reflect the increasing diversity of philanthropy. Our purpose is to educate and inspire members to do their best giving.




Philanthropy New York

Since 1979, Philanthropy New York has worked to enhance the ability of philanthropic organizations and individual donors in the New York region to serve the public good. Our membership comprises 280+ grantmaking organizations — the world’s leading private, corporate, family and public foundations. Philanthropy Northwest

Philanthropy Northwest promotes effective, collaborative philanthropy. We provide educational and networking opportunities, customized philanthropic consulting services and impact investing resources for foundations and corporations.




Philanthropy Ohio

Philanthropy Ohio is a statewide membership association that provides the network, tools and knowledge to help people engaged in philanthropy become more effective, powerful change agents in their communities.




Philanthropy Southwest

Founded in 1949, Philanthropy Southwest is the most enduring association of grantmakers in the United States. Our long history means we know how to provide timely information and connect colleagues across the region to help them thrive and succeed in their work. Our association includes trustees and staff with foundations in Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The region is large enough to provide diversity that inspires forward thinking, and small enough to ensure personalized attention. We are dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment with members who generously help other members, working together toward a better future.




Philanthropy West Virginia 

As West Virginia’s leading voice and premiere resource for philanthropy, Philanthropy West Virginia is committed to helping its members fulfill their charitable goals. It does so by providing opportunities for trustees and staff to network, build skills, enhance knowledge and demonstrate leadership. Philanthropy WV is the forum for funders to exchange information, discuss common interests, learn about relevant issues, hone their grantmaking skills and establish networks of important relationships across the state. Through its programs and services, Philanthropy WV helps funders become more efficient, effective grantmakers.




San Diego Grantmakers 

San Diego Grantmakers (SDG) is a network of people and organizations working to make our region better through philanthropy. We are a 501(c)3 association that provides unique services in support of organizations and individuals who are strategic about philanthropy and provide significant funding to multiple nonprofits. Members of our network may either fund or be located in San Diego and/or Imperial counties. Our membership currently includes more than 115 foundations, corporate philanthropy programs, giving circles, donor advised funds, grantmaking public charities, government funders, philanthropy advisors, and individual philanthropists who support a wide range of issues and causes in a variety of ways.




Southeastern Council of Foundations 

The Southeastern Council of Foundations (SECF) is one of the nation’s largest regional associations of grantmakers, serving more than 330 of the most dynamic foundations and corporate giving programs in the South. SECF works in partnership with members in 11 Southeastern states to serve, strengthen, promote and champion the South’s philanthropic voice and infrastructure through engaging programming, leadership development training, access to unique resources and invaluable connections. By encouraging insightful philanthropic collaboration, SECF creates opportunities to increase the region’s grantmaking impact and empower transformational community change.

Southern California Grantmakers (SCG) is a regional association for philanthropists and grantmakers working to make a difference in our communities and around the world. Our members include family, private, public, independent, community and corporate foundations and corporate giving programs, individuals, and government agencies.




United Philanthropy Forum

Formerly the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, this national network of nearly 60 philanthropy associations and networks across the United States facilitates effective philanthropy to strengthen communities and improve lives throughout the United State.




Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers 

Founded in 1992, the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers is a nonprofit membership association comprised of over 100 of the most well-respected foundations and corporate giving programs in the Greater Washington, D.C. region. Dedicated to improving the health and vitality of the region and all who live here, the WRAG network provides a robust arena for grantmakers to network, learn, problem-solve, and develop collaborative solutions to achieve greater impact with limited philanthropic dollars.
