Philanthropy is complex and complicated. People often define it in different ways, hold persistent misconceptions about its scope and practice, and get lost in the field’s sea of legal categories, organizational distinctions, and frankly weird jargon.

The four lessons in this course will help you find your way through this confusing landscape, and help you see just how significant philanthropy has been both throughout history and in the lives of people around the globe today.
