The mission of The Suder Foundation (TSF) is to dramatically improve the graduation rate of first-generation college students and prepare each scholar for a life with self-awareness, success, and significance.
We accomplish this mission through First Scholars—our holistic student success program currently operating at our growing national network of four-year public universities. First Scholars® is an initiative of The Suder Foundation, a private foundation located in Plano, Texas. The First Scholars program, administered on the campuses of selected four-year major public universities, provides a data-driven approach to increasing the graduation rate of first-generation college students. The foundation’s funding priority is to develop and refine the First Scholars program model and expand our network of affiliate universities. The Suder Foundation launches new First Scholars sites by providing start-up and early-stage funding for program operations along with scholarship support for the initial cohort(s) of Scholars.
